The Rival Sword Chapter 4 by ~utahgy:iconutahgy:

I will not say what the punishment is, but just know it was unpleasant. When judgment was served I waisted no time getting past the front gate. Now I'm at my favorite place in heaven. A sheer drop off about half a mile away from the gate. This drop off leads to earth and is one of the few ways to get there. I stand on the edge of the transparent, milky white floor and slowly lean forward. Pure bliss! I now find myself letting gravity take over and heading face first in the whiling freedom of a free fall. The wind in whipping at my hair and the rush of adrenaline and I plummet to earth. To add to the fun I let myself lose control. Now I am flipping with such ferocity that would make any onlooker sick. But this is my favorite way to earth and am used to it. I gain control by spreading my arms and looking down. I see that soon I will hit the ground. With a sigh I spread my wings.
With a great pulling force I am now gliding over the ground by a few feet and enjoying the speed the fall has brought me. Just ahead I see a forest thick with tall trees and foliage. I know I cannot maneuver my way through and neither do I want to. I want to continue to enjoy the top speed so with a simple wing adjustment I am skimming the canopy. Its a nice thing to look down and see different plant life and maybe some fauna moving fast in a seemingly endless pattern as I go past.
I look ahead and see my destination. A secluded town right in the middle of the forest. I drop down a mile away and sheath my wings as not to draw attention. One thing that has been stressed severally in heaven is our secrecy. This is why I now embark on a dreaded mile hike through unfavorable wilderness.
In less than an hour I have arrived at the village. It was made by those either wanting to get away or those who made them do so. It is only about ten building of different size. The largest being my destination. The whole village is about five hundred yards in all so it does not take me long to get there.
I start my way toward the building not returning the waves and nods offered to me. These are just lowly peasants and are just not wort the presence of an angel. Finally I reach the building and simply walk in. “You can try to knock sometimes.” said a fox sitting at a desk, nose just hovering over a book. Saying this he turns and welcomes “But you are always welcome Welly.”

“What is this doing now?” I ask rubbing my arm. Tails is watching the screen with interest. There is a twirling double helix and two strands of code that consists of “G-C” or “A-T”. I don't understand any of it, all I expect is the promised results. I rub my arm further. I hate needles.
“Your DNA is amazing!” Said tails. “I have never seen this kind of pattern before. For everything science knows, this should not be possible!” There is a definite excitement in his voice. “Um...ya.” I say uninterested. “How long is this going to take?” Tails just frowned and studied the screen further mumbling something about never having understanding test subjects. Suddenly, Tails turned around in his swivel chair and faced me. “Let me see your sword!” Tails demanded. Quickly I unbuckle my weapon from my waist and hand it over. One thing that made me respect Tails in the first place was not his intellect, but how he can handle my sword unfaded. Any normal being would be burned as if they have held a hot iron for a full minute. He does not know this just phenomenas just yet.
After studying the sword for a moment he pounded a few figures in the computer. “It seems that your DNA and the molecular compound your sword is made up of can possibly be a definite match!””In plain English please.” I say slightly annoyed. Tails just sighed and shook his head. “It means I can probably give you the ability to be one with your sword. Just like you wanted.” Said Tails in an exasperated tone.
“Finally!” I think to myself, smiling with triumph. “Soon I will do the impossible and be the best warrior Heaven has ever seen!” “Welly? Are you alright?” Asks Tails in a worried tone, waving his hand in front of my face. I snap out of it and shake my head. “Yes, fine. I'm just..... thinking.” I wonder if I should tell him who I am soon. It's against heavens law but i'm sure they would understand. Right?
